OFFICIAL PROVIDER OF IDBF DRAGON BOATS
AND IDBF PADDLES AT THE 23rd
SOUTH EAST ASIAN GAMES
SAVA is the Official Equipment Provider to
the Philippine Olympic Committee and Philippine Sports Commission for
the 23rd SEA Games in the Philippines.
All of the IDBF specification dragon boats and IDBF specification
202a paddles used in the traditional boat races at La Mesa Dam from 2-4
December 2005 are supplied by SAVA .
Indonesia, Vietnam , Myanmar, Brunei , Singapore and Philippines
will be taking part in the dragon boat races.
6TH IDBF WORLD DRAGON BOAT RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS,
BERLIN , GERMANY
The IDBF Junior Nations World Championships has a new trophy.
In Berlin Germany in August 2005 the Canadian National Junior Crew took
top honours in their class at the IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships
and won the coveted SAVA Trophy.

1st IPDBC BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS DRAGON
BOAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, SINGAPORE
SAVA and Breast Cancer Foundation, Singapore,
are jointly organising the 1st IPDBC Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat
World Championships from 27 September to 1 October 2006 in Singapore.

SAVA SPRINTS INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT RACES 2006
The first competitive dragon boat races to obtain IDBF Associate status
in Asia in 2005 and the first ever to use IDBF licenced 20 crew dragon
boats in Asia!
Forty Eight teams competing in 2005 from Singapore, Malaysia
and Philippines.
Singapore's Premier International dragon boat race, the
SAVA SPRINTS INTERNATIONAL 2006, will be held on September 2006 at Bedok
Reservoir. All International dragon boat teams are invited to this prestigious
event which is fast becoming the race to compete in . Premier dragon boat
races over 200m , 500m and 1000m.

SAVA AND THE BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS

SAVA manages and coaches the first breast cancer survivors
dragon boat team in Asia. To emphasize our belief that exercise is beneficial
and to increase breast cancer awareness a dragon boat team was formed
in December 2002 in Singapore. "Paddlers in the Pink" , as it
is now called, trains twice weekly and competes in national and international
competitions.

SAVA AND THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT BOARD
SAVA was engaged by the Housing Development Board of Singapore
to conduct its Inter-Departmental Dragon Boat Races at Bedok Reservoir
on 1 October 2005. A fleet of six 12 crew IDBF licenced dragon boats which
HDB had purchased from SAVA created a memorable event.
SINGAPORE NATIONAL OLYMPIC COUNCIL ENGAGES SAVA
ON COMMONWEALTH GAMES
RELAY 2005
SAVA was engaged by Singapore National Olympic Council to
organise the Queen's Baton Relay from 3-6 October 2005. The Relay has
a long tradition and is an important part of the run up to each Commonwealth
Games . This year's relay for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games is
the longest and most inclusive relay in the world .The Queen's Baton ,
which carries the message from the Head of the Commonwealth , to the Opening
Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games , was received in Singapore on 3rd
October 2005 by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan . Thousands of Singaporeans were
given the opportunity to carry the Baton.
